Alan Smith Bio
Alan Smith is a successful graphic designer and entrepreneur. Alan designs graphics and websites for small businesses, companies, consultants, organizations, and startups.
Alan gained early experience in a regional marketing communications company and a graphic and printing company. This includes earning computer graphic experience in a technical publications company.
Alan’s experience includes graphic job assignments in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. This includes many engineering and publication companies and a TV station. Alan served as a graphic artist, desktop publisher, and senior graphic designer for technology, telecommunication, and semiconductor companies. A highlighted list includes ADC Enhanced Service Division, California Micro Devices, Micro Linear, Space Systems Loral, Knight-Ridder Information, and others. A previous shortlist includes KBHK TV, Landmark Calendars, Westinghouse Marine Division, Academic Systems, and many more.
In early 2002, Alan was invited by Don Steiny to be a graphic artist at InfoPoint Inc, an internet and web development company, in Santa Cruz, California. After seven months, Alan moved his graphic art and design operation to his home office, in Sunnyvale. With Don’s encouragement, Alan started Alan Smith Graphic Designer. Alan Smith flourished designing the best in graphics and custom websites for an interesting array of Santa Clara Valley and San Francisco Bay Area companies.
Today Alan is offering his experienced creative services to companies across the US. Additionally, Alan is offering graphic design, web design, and marketing collateral to select client businesses, companies, consultants, and startups. Alan works with the client in person, by phone, email, and online to design the best in graphics, websites, and marketing collateral.
Education milestones include a Web Developer Certificate from San Jose State University Professional Development. Study in the Marketing Communication Certificate program at San Jose State University Professional Development and several graphic and management classes at the University of California Santa Cruz Extension. Alan studied computer graphics at Indiana Vocational Technical Institute, advertising design at Ball State University and received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern Indiana (USI).
